The Community Food Pantry is hosting its third Community Health Fair on Wednesday, February 28th, from 9am-noon in the Village Presbyterian Church Sanctuary, 13115 S. Village Drive, Tampa, 33618.
Local agencies, businesses and health providers will be offering health and wellness resources, and BayCare nurses have free cholesterol and diabetes screenings with a limited number of free flu shots.
The Health Fair also offers healthy solutions of all kinds from chiropractic care, healthy finances, free women’s health benefits, Health Care and insurance information, homebound meal options and more. There is something to benefit those of all ages covering many needs. Stop by to see the presentations throughout the morning. Goody bags for the first 100 attendees! This event is free and open to the public.
The Community Food Pantry is here to help underserved families in North Tampa with a “client choice” food pantry, health information and referrals, and a gracious welcome.
Community Food Pantry helped 10,000 families and distributed 550,000 meals last year with the help of grocery partners Publix, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Sprouts, Target and Feeding Tampa Bay, to seniors on fixed incomes, at-risk elementary students, and “working poor” families trying to make ends meet. Visit the website at www.thecommunityfoodpantry.com for information on how you can donate, volunteer or find upcoming events.
