Maria Del Carmen Mejia is an established Registered Nurse currently serving patients within the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in oncology, radiation, and recovery anesthesia nursing.
Maria’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1997, when she earned her Licensed Vocational Nurse Certification from the University of Texas Medical Branch. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to obtain her Nursing Degree in 2001 from South Texas College. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses, and is also Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certified.
Maria has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients. She engages in public speaking on cancer awareness, and attributes her success to her focus on nursing, the experience she has had learning from working closely with other nurses, and the knowledge she has gained in oncology. When she is not assisting her patients, Maria enjoys spending quality time with her family.
