The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Edward Trimmier, DMD, MEd, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Trimmier is an established Dentist and Diplomat in Anesthesiology by the National Board of Anesthesiology. Featuring over 17 years of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in all facets of dentistry, including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, anesthesiology, and pain management.
Dr. Trimmier commenced his studies at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 1994 Boston University. Committed to continuing his education and enhancing his knowledge, he undertook a total of 4 residencies, and also completed a Maxi Course in Implantology at the Medical College of Georgia, which was 360 graduate hours. He also completed a clerkship in Anesthesiology at Boston University, fortifying his interest in anesthesiology. Dr. Trimmier undertook his first residency at the prestigious VA Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where he trained in all facets of dentistry, and also completed medical rotations in anesthesiology, ENT, plastic surgery, oncology, endodontics, oral surgery, and periodontal surgery, among others. Furthermore, he completed a hospital dentistry residency at the Bethesda Naval Training Center in Oral Pathology, completing rotations at Georgetown and George Washington University Hospitals.
Dr. Trimmier’s second residency was at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens which included training at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in Oral Pathology with Dr. James L. Sciubba. DMD, PhD, where he focused on oral surgery, ER training and advanced training in all areas of dentistry. His third residency, an additional two years of intense training, was a medical residency in anesthesiology at the Brookdale University Medical Center. Dr. Trimmier then served his fourth residency at the University of California, Los Angeles where he studied the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain, nerve disorders, headache, musculoskeletal disorders and TMJ disorders. Thereafter, he completed his seventh years of training at the Medical College of Georgia, completing a comprehensive course of Implantology.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Trimmier acquired his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion at Wofford College in 1977, prior to completing his Master of Education Degree at Converse College in 1989. He has earned the coveted titles of Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the International College of Oral Implantologists, as well as Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Moreover, Dr. Trimmier remains a distinguished member of the Academy of Pain Management, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the International and American Associations for Dental Research, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He attributes his success to his strong sense of spirituality and belief in God, and when he is not treating patients, Dr. Trimmier enjoys studying Hebrew, playing golf, swimming, walking, pilates, and core strengthening.
