The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Jodi Tanzman, LPN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Jodi Tanzman is an established Licensed Practical Nurse currently serving patients within the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, 21 of which were spent as a Camp Nurse, she has a special expertise in labor and delivery, obstetrics, and gynecologic nursing.
Jodi completed her Nursing Training at Queensborough Community College in Queens, New York in 1989, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses and holds additional certifications in CPR and First Aid.
Alongside her work as a nurse, Jodi serves as Head of the Health Committee in her children’s elementary school earning her an award for Outstanding Service to the children on the school, the school and the community. Her voluntary work at North Shore University Hospital during her four years of High School earned her an award from North Shore Hospital for more than 2500 hours of volunteer work in four years.
Two of Jodi’s favorite passions is being an advocate for children and women of Domestic Violence and being a Team Leader in the Community Security Service. She attributes her success to the support of her family, and the inspiration she gained from the compassion shown by amazing nurses on the burn unit who looked after her mother after she was burned in a kitchen house fire while cooking. In her free time, Jodi enjoys reading and her voluntary work.
