Drazinic is an established Psychiatrist who maintains the position of Chief of Medical Services with the Florida Mental Health Treatment Facility for the Florida Department of Health, Department of Child and Family Unit, overseeing all state psychiatric hospitals in Florida. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in addiction medicine, and also provides treatment for bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, and Huntington’s Disease.
Dr. Drazinic was educated at the University of Florida College of Medicine at Gainesville, earning her Medical Degree in 1998. Thereafter, she completed an internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, prior to her fellowship training in Forensic Psychiatry at Yale University. Dr. Drazinic also holds a PhD from the University of Florida, and is board certified in Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
To stay current with the latest advances and developments in her field, Dr. Drazinic maintains a professional membership with the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physician Executives. She serves as an Associate Professor of the University of Miami’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and is also working on a clinical trial and is the site principal investigator for the University of Miami and the S.T.A.I.R study. She has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients. Dr. Drazinic attributes her success to the encouragement and support of her patients, and dedicates her free time to playing the piano.
