Dr. Pongsa-Pyn Muangman has been in practice for more than five decades and is currently serving patients within Radiology Associates Hartford in Hartford, Connecticut. He is also affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Muangman graduated with his Medical Degree in 1964 from the Chiang Mai University Faculty of Medicine in Chiang Mai, Thailand. After moving to the United States, he completed an internship at New Britain General Hospital in Connecticut, followed by a residency at Hartford Hospital. Pursuing advanced medical training, Dr. Muangman undertook his fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Muangman is certified by the American Board of Radiology, and is internationally renowned as an expert in pediatric radiology and in interventional radiology. He is a distinguished member of the Radiology Society of Connecticut, the Connecticut State Medical Society of Connecticut and the Hartford County Medical Association, and alongside his acclaimed medical career he also served with distinction in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He attributes his success to the support of his father and family, and to the excellent education he received. When he is not working. Dr. Muangman enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
