Joyce Ann Welliver is an established Nurse Practitioner currently maintaining a position within Drexel University, College of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Featuring over four decades of experience in her field as a clinician, coordinator, manager, and educator, she has a special expertise in medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, geriatric care, substance abuse, nutritional health, stress management, community nursing, and as a nurse coordinator. Joyce has dedicated her life to providing the highest of quality and compassionate care to her patients.
Joyce’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1974, when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Holy Family University. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to earn her Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education, Health Maintenance, and Restoration of Adult Health from Villanova University, prior to her Post Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from Drexel University Health Sciences Department. Since graduating, Joyce has completed a number of advanced training courses.
To stay current with the latest advances in nursing, Joyce remains a distinguished member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, the National Academic Advising Association, the New Jersey State Nurses Association, the Society for Education and Research in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, and the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association. An inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, she is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. Joyce attributes her success to her passion for nursing, dedication, and desire to achieve her personal goals, and in her free time she enjoys traveling, boating, skiing, ice skating, gardening, reading, and arts and crafts.
