He is the founder of the Honolulu Neuroscience Clinic, founding director of the Sleep Disorders Patients Advocacy Foundation, and co-founder of the Hawaii Sleep and Wellness Foundation. He is also co-Director of the Stanford University Sleep Epidemiology Satellite Research Center. The Stanford Satellite Sleep Research Center is the first and only sleep research center in Hawaii. Dr. Russo also enjoyed an acclaimed 30 year career in the United States Army, winning many honors including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Award for Excellence in Military Medicine, the highest honor bestowed upon a military physician.
Dr. Russo’s expertise has earned him a number of prestigious titles, including Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association. He is President of the Hawaii Neurological Society, the professional organization for Hawaii based neurologists. His renowned expertise and compassionate nature makes Dr. Michael B.
