The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Patricia A. Burks, APRN, C-FP to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Patricia A. Burks is an established Family Nurse Practitioner currently serving patients within Jackson County Memorial Hospital- Family Care Clinic of Mangum in Oklahoma. Featuring over three decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in emergency room and intensive care nursing.
Patricia started her career in nursing as a nurse aide and fell in love with the profession. She then worked as a Licensed Professional Nurse, before becoming a Registered Nurse. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in 1985 from Sayre Junior College, followed by her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1988 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. An advocate for continuing education, Patricia went on to obtain her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration in 1997 from Midwestern University.
An inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Patricia remains a distinguished member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners. She has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients, and attributes her success to the quality of her nursing care, her love for her work, her exceptional education, and the support of her family. In her free time, Patricia enjoys traveling.
