Her career in dentistry began in her native Iran when she gained her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at Shahid Beheshti University of Iran in Tehran. After moving to the United States, she completed a Master of Science in Dentistry Degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, specializing in Craniofacial Biology. Dr. Mina then studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Connecticut Health Center, gaining a Doctor of Philosophy Degree.
Dr. Mina is internationally renowned for her expertise in pediatric dentistry, treating a wide range of dental conditions in infants and children. She is also renowned as an specialist in craniofacial surgery, and for her research in craniofacial biology. Her expertise in these areas has won her a number of awards, including an IADR Distinguished Scientist Award and a UCHC Directors Faculty Recognition Award.
As well as being a practicing pediatric dentist, Dr. Mina is also Professor and Chair of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Connecticut, and director of their DMD/PhD program. She is a distinguished member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and her expertise and dedication makes Dr. Mina Mina a very worthy winner of a 2018 Top Doctor Award.
