Following the completion of medical school, she completed an internship with the New York Hospital of Queens in Flushing, before undertaking her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the Kessler Institute in West Orange, New Jersey. An advanced two year spine program was then completed with the Robb Pain Management Group in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Aufiero has become renowned across Los Angeles and beyond for her expert in sports medicine and rehabilitation, and she is a noted specialist in regenerative treatments using the very latest technology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American Academy of Ozonotherapy. Dr. Aufiero says that her success is thanks to her natural compassion and her ability to think outside the box, and when she is not assisting patients she enjoys hiking, reading and painting, and is also an accomplished violinist.
