Winning feels good for longtime Trump ally Roger Stone who is victorious in a defamation lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court by a former Libertarian candidate for governor in New York.

Warren Redlich claimed that Stone was responsible for a hit campaign mailer that labeled him a “predator” and a “sick twisted pervert.”

The New York jury agreed that the 2010 content was in fact defamatory, but Redlich’s legal team failed to prove that Roger Stone was responsible for the mailer.

“This victory is extremely gratifying and reinforces my faith in the fundamental fairness of our jury system and in the capacity of our judicial system to repel those who would deceitfully abuse it as a tool for political vendettas,” Stone told the media.

“I’m obviously disappointed. At the same time, I’m glad it’s over,” Redlich said.
