Neda Afshar is an established Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner currently serving patients in Sacramento, California. She is affiliated with the Northern California Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NCVAHS). Featuring over 15 years of experience in her field, she has special expertise in Gastroenterology Nursing.
Neda’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 2003, when she graduated with her second Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). An advocate for continuing education, she went on to gain her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, and has completed a number of advanced training courses.
After the completion of her Master in Science, Neda pursued her post graduate work in Family Nurse Practice (FNP). She is currently working as FNP-C in the field of Gastroenterology in VA Mather/Sacramento. In addition, she has been pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of San Francisco. She is expecting to receive her DNP degree in Summer of 2018.
To stay current with the latest advances in her field, Neda remains a distinguished member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the California Association for Nurse Practitioners, and is also an inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has dedicated her life to delivering the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients, and dedicates her free time to gardening and Japanese Flower Arrangement.
