Valerie Eve Mewhorter is an established Registered Nurse currently serving patients as a Clinical Nurse within Novant Total Spine Specialists in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also affiliated with Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and the Carolinas Healthcare System. Featuring over seven years of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in behavioral health, medical/surgical nursing, orthopedic and spine nursing, and rehabilitation/pain medicine.
Valerie’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 2010, when she graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Queen’s University of Charlotte. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to gain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2016 from Grand Canyon University. Since graduating, Valerie has completed a number of advanced training courses, and holds additional certification in Basic Life Support.
To stay current with the latest advances and developments in nursing, Valerie remains a distinguished member of the American Nurses Association and the North Carolina Nurses Association. She has always wanted to be a nurse, and was pushed into nursing further when she was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Valerie has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of quality care to her patients, and attributes her success to the support of her family, particularly her husband and children who have given her the opportunity to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and gardening.
