Lynn Merritt Diffenbaugh is an established Parish Nurse recently retired from serving patients within 2 churches in her area and at UnityPoint Health, a position she held for 20 years. Featuring over five decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in geriatrics, holistic health, parish nursing, community health, staff nursing, nursing home care, and psychiatric nursing.
Lynn’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1961, when she graduated with her Nursing Degree from Galesburg Cottage Hospital School of Nursing in Illinois, becoming a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career, she has completed a number of advanced training courses, and is also a Certified Parish Nurse.
Lynn has dedicated her life to providing the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients of all ages. She attributes her success to her passion for nursing, feeling that it is her calling for her to care for others and combine her nursing education to spiritually help people. She credits her devotion and prayer to her success, and in her free time, Lynn enjoys volunteering with her church, playing bridge, and participating in a coloring group and book club. She also writes a monthly newsletter for her church.
