Jayson T. Valerio is an established Doctor of Nursing Practice currently serving as Dean of Nursing within South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. Featuring over two decades of experience in nursing, he has a special expertise in nurse education.
Dr. Valerio’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1992, when he graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Assumption in San Fernando City, Philippines. Thereafter, he obtained his Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Angeles University Foundation in Angeles, Philippines. After moving to the United States, Dr. Valerio gained his Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree in 2016 from American Sentinel University in Aurora, Colorado.
Dr. Valerio has been published extensively, and is a distinguished member of the Texas Nurses Association, the Texas Society of Allied Health Professions, the National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Golden Key International Honour Society. He presently serves as the President of the Philippine Nurses Association of South Texas, Rio Grande Valley Chapter, and attributes his success to the value his parents instilled in him. When he is not working, Dr. Valerio likes to relax by reading.
