Dr. Battle is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Cardiovascular Disease, and it is in this latter field that he has gained a nationwide reputation for excellence. Conditions diagnosed and treated by him include coronary artery disease, congenital heart disease, mitral valve disease, heart arrhythmia, angina, hypertension and chronic pulmonary heart disease. Expert procedures undertaken by him range from pacemaker insertion and removal to cardiac imaging and the use of cardiovascular stress tests.

Dr. Battle is one of the most experienced cardiologists in the United States, and yet he is still committed to keeping up to date with the latest advances in his field.
