Dr. Cheney is renowned as an expert in the treatment of children and adolescents with mood disorders, ADHD, Eating Disorders and anxiety disorders, and she has a special expertise in medication management for adolescents receiving dialectical behavior therapy. She is a distinguished member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Academy for Eating Disorders, and also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University. Moreover, Dr. Cheney is also the co-creator of the CAMS: Advanced Seminar in Eating Disorders for NYU undergraduate students, and attributes her success to her passion for working with children and families. When she is not assisting patients, Dr. Cheney enjoys sports, especially running, going to shows on Broadway, and spending time with family and friends.
