Whitmire, DNP, APRN-NP, CHFN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Tara J. Whitmire is an established Nurse Practitioner currently serving patients within CHI Health in Omaha, Nebraska. Featuring over 15 years of experience in her field, she has a special expertise as a cardiac nurse and nurse educator.
Tara J. Whitmire gained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2002 from Creighton University, having earlier gained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. An advocate for continuing education, she later obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Creighton University, becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Thereafter, Tara graduated with her Doctor in Nursing Practice Degree from the University of Iowa, and holds additional certification as a Certified Heart Failure Nurse.
Tara has gained a wealth of experience in many areas of nursing, holding increasingly senior positions, and she remains a distinguished member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Nebraska Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Tau Tau Chapter. She attributes her success to the great mentors that she’s had, and her motivation, and in her free time Tara enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
