Dr. Florete’s acclaimed career in medicine began after graduating with his Medical Degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu City, Philippines. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Philippines College of Medicine, before relocating to the United States and undertaking an additional residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. Pursuing advanced medical training, Dr. Florete went on to complete his fellowship training in Pain Management at the University of Virginia, and attended the University of Kentucky for his board certification.
To stay current with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Florete remains a distinguished member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Management, American Society of Anesthesiologists, International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Pain Society, the Florida Academy of Pain Management. He is also a life member of the Winthrop Stearns Fellows and Scholars Association. Dr. Florete’s research has been extensively published, with numerous book chapters and journal articles to his credit, as well as abstracts and teaching materials. He attributes his success to his hard work and love for his profession, and in his free time, Dr. Florete enjoys spending time on his yacht, running, reading, and traveling.
