Mary Elizabeth DuRant is an established Nurse Practitioner currently serving patients in Beaufort, South Carolina. Featuring over four decades of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in obstetrics and gynecology nursing, and in nurse management.
Mary’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1977, when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to gain her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from West Virginia University in Morgantown, and later obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree. Since graduating, Mary has completed a number of advanced training courses, and is also a Certified Nurse Midwife and Board Certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner.
Mary has a wealth of experience in many areas of nursing, in increasingly senior positions, but she is particularly renowned for her expertise in women’s health care. She is a distinguished member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, and says that her success has come because she finds it incredibly rewarding helping people improve their lives. When she is not working, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors.
