The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Steven Walter Cook, CRNA, BSN, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Steven Walter Cook is an established Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist currently serving patients within the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Featuring nearly four decades of experience in nursing, he is a specialist nurse anesthetist.
Steven’s career in nursing began in 1978, when he graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Boston University in Massachusetts. An advocate for continuing education, in 1984 he completed further advanced training at the Berkshire Community College School of Nursing in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
Steven is a member of many professional societies, reflecting the breadth of his experience, including the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses. He attributes his success to his struggles with ulcerative colitis, and his desire to help others overcome health issues. When he is not working, Steven enjoys tennis, aerobics, reading, ballroom dancing and listening to music, and he is also writing a book entitled ‘Just Another Hole.’
