The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Allison Showalter, DNP, APRN, NNP-BC to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Allison Showalter is an established Neonatal Nurse Practitioner currently serving patients as NNP Coordinator/Team Lead for Intermountain Healthcare, which is affiliated with Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. Featuring over two decades of experience in her field, she is a specialist in neonatal nursing.
Allison’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1997, when she graduated with her Nursing Degree from Ricks College. An advocate for continuing education, she gained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1999 from Brigham Young University, before earning her Master of Science Degree in Nursing in 2001 from the University of Utah. She remained at the University of Utah, obtaining her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2015. Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses, and holds additional certifications in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
An inductee of both the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Allison has dedicated her life to delivering the highest standard of nursing care to her patients. She attributes her success to her hard work, compassionate nature, and her desire to help others. When she is not assisting patients, Allison enjoys Photography, College Sports, Traveling.
