The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Juleen Barnes to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Juleen Barnes is an established Registered Nurse currently maintaining the position of Assistant Director of Nursing within Glen Cove Hospital in Glen Cove, New York. Featuring 13 years of experience in nursing, she oversees multiple units, and specializes in medical/surgical nursing, sub acute care, long term care, and staff education.
Juleen’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 2004 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Molloy College in Rockville Center, New York. An advocate for continuing education, she gained her Master’s Degree in Education in 2016 from Phoenix University in Arizona, and holds additional certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS.
Juleen has worked in many fields of nursing, holding increasingly senior positions. Now an Assistant Director of Nursing she oversees the clinical operation of five units, as well as mentoring new nurses and assisting with budgeting. She attributes her success to her excellent listening and communication skills, and her naturally compassionate attitude. When she is not working, Juleen enjoys dancing, cruising, volleyball and tennis. She is also developing her own business based upon her women’s empowerment website www.yaaasss.com.
