Dr. Minhal Alhashim is a highly trained and qualified dermatologist with a vast expertise in all facets of her work, especially medical and surgical dermatology. She spent 4 years in Grand Forks, North Dakota treating underserved population and recently moved to Washington DC area to serve a larger community in Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland. She joined Integrated Dermatology in Fairfax, VA and Washington, DC and she will be practicing medical, surgical and cosmetic Dermatology.
Dr. Alhashim gained her Medical Degree in 2005 from the King Faisal University College of Medicine in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed a full year internship in General Surgery and then residency in Dermatology at the Tufts University New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. To keep up to date with the latest advances in her field, Dr. Alhashim maintains a professional membership with American society of dermatologic surgery and the International Society of Dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Alhashim is noted for her expertise in both Medical and surgical Dermatology, including Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, surgical excision of skin cancers, cysts, and lipomas, and cosmetic dermatology including physician administered Botox, Dysport and different types of fillers and lasers. She is also interested in medical research in integrative dermatology and biotech research to help with early diagnosis of skin cancer in rural underserved areas. She attributes her success to being thorough at all times and treating each patient as if they were a member of her own family. In her free time, Dr. Alhashim enjoys her time with her husband and two children, she also enjoys painting and Arabic calligraphy.
