Acclaimed Orthopedic Surgeon, Sebastian C. Peers, MD, is to be Recognized as a 2017 Top Doctors in Carmel, Indiana

Sebastian C. Peers, MD, a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon at Reconstructive Hand to Shoulder of Indiana (RHSI), has been named a 2017 Top Doctor in Carmel, Indiana. Top Doctor Awards is dedicated to selecting and honoring those healthcare practitioners who have demonstrated clinical excellence while delivering the highest standards of patient care.

Dr. Sebastian C. Peers is in his third year of practice in Carmel and has already become known as one of Indiana’s top orthopedic and hand surgeons. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Peers then completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.  After residency Dr. Peers completed an additional two-year hand, wrist, shoulder, and elbow fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. During his two years in Cleveland he trained with world-renowned experts in all areas of the upper extremity.

Dr. Peers treats many upper extremity conditions including: rotator cuff disorders, shoulder instability, osteoarthritis, rotator cuff tear arthropathy, nerve compression, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tendon disorders, and trauma.  He is especially experienced in arthroscopic techniques and other minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Peers lives an active lifestyle and therefore takes pleasure in getting his patients back to their own active lifestyles as quickly as possible.

Dr. Peers is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a candidate member of the American Society for the Surgery of the Hand. He has had many peer reviewed papers and book chapters published and his dedication and commitment makes Dr. Sebastian C. Peers a very worthy winner of a 2017 Top Doctor Award.
