Wedam has been in practice for more than 19 years and is currently serving patients within Johns Hopkins Community Physicians Heart Care in Bethesda, Maryland. He is also affiliated with Suburban Hospital and Sibley Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Wedam’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1998 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Following the completion of medical school, he completed an internship, residency, and fellowship respectively at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Pursuing advanced medical training, Dr. Wedam completed a further fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Wedam is double board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Echocardiography. Alongside his busy practice, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the the Uniformed Services University of the Health Services, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Wedam has dedicated his life to delivering the highest standard of quality cardiological care to his patients, and when he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, dancing and soccer.
