Keith D. Baldwin, MD, MSPT, MPH, Orthopedist at the Penn Musculoskeletal Center, and affiliated with Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Children’s Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, has been named a 2017 Top Doctor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Baldwin has been in practice for more than 11 years and in that time has become renowned as one of Philadelphia’s leading orthopedists. His career in medicine began in 2006 when he graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden. Following this, Dr. Baldwin completed a residency at the University of Pennsylvania and then a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and a Master of Public Health Degree obtained at UMDNJ’s School of Public Health.
Dr. Baldwin is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and he provides surgical and non-surgical solutions for a wide range of conditions, in both children and adults. He is particularly renowned as a specialist in the treatment of scoliosis, musculoskeletal manifestations of neuromuscular conditions in children and in adults, and musculoskeletal trauma in children and adults, including severe injuries and multiple traumas.
Dr. Baldwin currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of the Division of Neuro-Orthopaedics at Penn Medicine, as Associate Director of Trauma for Orthopaedics, and as Director of Clinical Research for the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania. He is the section editor for JBJS reviews for Rehabilitation, as well as holding editorial positions in numerous other journals. Dr. Baldwin has also had over 120 peer reviewed papers published. He is the president of the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Association and has won awards locally and nationally for his work, having become renowned across Pennsylvania and beyond for his passion for restoring function to children and adults following traumatic or neuromuscular injuries.
