The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Jose Vicente Delgado, RN, BSN, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Jose Vicente Delgado is a Registered Nurse and Radio Oncology Nurse currently serving patients as Operating Room Head Nurse within the Instituto de Radioterapia Del Este in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Featuring over 35 years of experience in nursing, Jose has specialized training and progressive knowledge in internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and nursing instruction.
Jose’s acclaimed career in nursing began in 1981 when he graduated with his Nursing Degree from the University of Puerto Rico. An advocate for continuing education, he remained at the University of Puerto Rico and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1986. Since graduating, Jose has completed a number of advanced training courses, and holds additional certifications in CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as well as Varian Arias Program for patients record management.
To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in nursing, Jose maintains a professional membership with the Puerto Rico College of Professional Nursing, the National Coalition of Nursing Navigators, and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses. He is fluent in both Spanish and English, and has dedicated his life to delivering the highest standard of care to his patients. He attributes his success to treating his patients with complete respect, as well as feeling it is his honor to serve his patients. When he is not working, Jose enjoys reading and listening to music.
