The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Dwayne Sumter, RN, BS, MHA, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Dwayne Sumter is a Medical Clinic Registered Nurse with over 28 years of experience and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially mental health, cardiology, and drug addiction. He is currently serving patients within Human Skills & Resources in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and is also affiliated with St. John Health System.
Dwayne attended Tulsa Community College, graduating with his Associate of Science Degree in 1988. An advocate for continuing education, he completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Wesleyan University in 1998, followed by his Master of Health Administration Degree in 2001 from Kennedy Western University, now known as Warren National University. He completed his Master’s Degree online, his main professor from Louisiana State University who reviewed, graded and presented his thesis for acceptance and publication. Dwayne received a hard bound copy with acceptance and the signature page of the committee. He felt that this was the most difficult degree he worked on and received/approval/acceptance to finish the criteria for the degree.
Throughout his career, Dwayne has worked in many areas of nursing field. He attributes his success to his love of his profession, and to the great colleagues that he’s worked alongside. In his free time, Dwayne enjoys flying drones.
