Dr. Michael J. Wei, well-known New York City Cosmetic Dentist, recently completed a two-day, hands-on course in Chicago, Illinois titled “Mastering Minimally-Invasive Smile Design”. The course featured an entirely new approach to the final seating and finishing of minimally invasive veneers, and used a more conservation teeth preparation technique designed to reduce the amount of time a patient spends in the dentist’s chair.
Program participants spent two days learning new techniques and best practices from dental peers. The course included an introduction to minimally-invasive veneers using an Additive-Reductive Template (A.R.T.) process for minimal tooth reduction, complex case demonstrations on challenging alignments and arch forms, and demonstrations on final seating and finishing of minimally invasive veneers, as well as optimizing gum tissue esthetics and contouring.

About Dr. Michael J. Wei, DDS
Dr. Wei completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Dr. Wei went on to complete his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He holds dual certificates in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from the Columbia University School of Oral and Dental Surgery, and he also completed a fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Wei spends much of his free time taking continuing education courses.
