The new single marks a turning point in MannyA’s career. His first solo release, “Ser Grande Por Dentro,” saw an exploration into spirituality. It’s 2016 release was quickly followed by singles exploring topics of love, artistic passion and more, each venturing into new stylistic territory.
“Que Siga La Gozadera” is MannyA’s official turn Reggaetón, a fusion of hip hop and Latin American music originating in Puerto Rico.
“I’m always evolving my style and experimenting with genres I enjoy,” said MannyA. “I wanted to swim in favor of the stream, releasing a track that’s perfect for summer and lets me try something new.”
Although a relative newcomer to the music industry, MannyA has become a fast rising star of Urban Latino. His debut album, “Ser Grande Por Dentro,” a fusion of Latin pop, rock and jazz, saw moderate success. However, it was the singles “El Pintor,” who’s music video achieved over 300k views on YouTube, and “Djala,” which established him as a powerful presence.
A collaboration with Andy Gonzalez, singer, lyricist and percussionist on the album “Entre Coleges” has also awarded MannyA the bragging rights of a Grammy nomination.
MannyA’s music has seen much diversity throughout his releases. From ballads to hip hop, he playfully fuses many cornerstones of the Latino music community to deliver excellent songs.
“’Que Siga La Gozadera,’ has been an exciting and unique step,” said MannyA. “I think this video is a great addition to what is already the perfect summer track.”
Manuel Alejandro Carro, also known as MannyA, was born in Camaguey, Cuba in 1980. With an early passion for music he developed his skills as a singer songwriter and percussionist through the rich culture which surrounded him. This would drive him to one day tour the globe with various World music acts, developing his style and finding lyrical inspiration along the way. Now based in New York, MannyA is taking the Pop Latino community by storm, such as his recent opportunity to open for the king of Reggaeton, Daddy Yankee, as a timbal player with salsero artist Edwin Perez.
