The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Martin Francis Powers, CRNA, RN, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders In Healthcare. Martin Francis Powers is a Nurse Anesthetist currently serving patients within Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. Featuring over four decades of experience in nursing, he is a specialist nurse anesthetist.
Martin Francis Powers gained his Nursing Degree in 1973 from Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Missouri, becoming a Registered Nurse. In 1976 he completed specialist training at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, and became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. He holds additional certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and prior to pursuing a career in nursing, Martin served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969.
Martin is distinguished member of the Texas Nurse Association and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, allowing him to stay current with the latest advances in his field. He has won numerous awards throughout his long and successful career, including the All Pro Media Group Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. Martin attributes his success to loving what he does, and when he is not working he enjoys taking his dog for walks on the beach.
