Barron, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly trained and qualified surgeon with a vast expertise in all facets of his work, especially sports injuries, fractures, knee and shoulder reconstruction, ACL surgery, shoulder arthroplasty, and cartilage repair. Dr. Barron has been in practice for more than two decades and is currently serving patients within his practice, Barron & Homesley Orthopedic Specialists, located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Barron’s career in medicine began in 1984 when he graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Upon earning his Medical Degree, Dr. Barron undertook his fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, where he assisted with the orthopedic treatment for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Rams, and Anaheim Angels. He has also trained residents at Carolina Medical Center, and PA students at Wake Forest University and Duke University.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Barron is the team physician for the Charlotte Checkers, Queens University, Charlotte Original Rugby Club, Lancaster High School and Richmond County High Schools. Furthermore, he is an orthopedic consultant for the Charlotte Ballet and Richard Childress Racing. He remains a distinguished member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine, and is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for his dedication to his field and his patients. Dr. Barron attributes his success to providing excellent patient care, his availability, and continuing his education. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, biking, waterfowl hunting, and spending quality time with his granddaughter.
