Dr. Hawatmeh has been in practice for more than 15 years and is currently serving patients as Chief of Urology at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He also sees patients at South County Urological in St. Louis, Missouri, which he joined in 2006.
Dr. Hawatmeh’s career in medicine began in 1999 when he graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Upon receiving his Medical Degree, he completed training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where he served as Chief Resident associate and Clinical Instructor in Urology. Dr. Hawatmeh is certified by the American Board of Urology, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
To keep up to date with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Hawatmeh maintains a professional membership with the American Urological Association, the American Medical Association and the Mayo Fellows Association. For his excellence, he is the recipient Praecis Pharmaceuticals /AUA Gerald P. Murphy Scholar Award, has participated in several scientific presentations, and has co-authored articles for medical journals. Dr. Hawatmeh attributes his success to the excellent mentors he has had, the privilege of training at the Mayo clinic, and putting his patients and their families first. When he is not working, he enjoys skiing, fishing, fitness, cycling, and scuba diving.
