The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Marissa A. Bunn, BSN, RN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Marissa A. Bunn is a Registered Nurse Mentor currently serving patients within Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Now in her fifth year in nursing, she has an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially orthopedic, geriatric, bariatric and surgical nursing.
Marissa gained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. An advocate for continuing education, she is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree, Family Nurse Practitioner tract, within the same educational venue.
As a Registered Nurse Mentor, Marissa trains new nurses and nurse interns, as well as acts as a staffing resource in many different areas when needed. She was honored with a “Rookie of the Year Award” in 2014, remains a professional member of the Wisconsin Nurses Association, and serves as a leader for her hospital’s Shared Leadership committees. Marissa attributes her success to her persistence and determination to be the best nurse she possibly can, and her ability to educate others in a way that allows them to see their potential. When she is not working, Marissa enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking and fishing.
