Chester Griffiths, MD, FACS, FAAO, Otolaryngologist currently on staff at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute, and affiliated with Providence Saint John’s Health Center and the John Wayne Cancer Institute, has been named a 2017 Top Doctor in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Chester Griffiths is a highly experienced otolaryngologist, having been in practice for over 34 years. His career in medicine started in 1982, when he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Central del Este in San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. He later completed an internship and residency at the Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia, and an otolaryngology, head and neck surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital prior to a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, working alongside world renowned surgeon, Dr. Ivo Pitanguy.
Dr. Griffiths is certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology and by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He provides expert treatment for a wide range of conditions relating to the ear, nose and throat, for patients of all ages, as well as treating sleep disorders such as sleep apnea. He is known across California and beyond, however, as an expert in endonasal endoscopic sinus surgery for the treatment of conditions such as skull base tumors and sinonasal forms of cancer.
Dr. Griffiths earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He is a team physician for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, and is also involved in a number of voluntary and philanthropic enterprises, including working at the Venice Family Clinic that won him an Outstanding Volunteer Physician Award in 1995.
