D.C. lawyer/lobbyist Jack Burkman, who’s funding The Profiling Project, a private, independent and nonpartisan investigation of the Seth Rich murder, and who has offered $105,000 reward in the case, will file a lawsuit in the District of Columbia Superior Court tomorrow morning to force the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to release crucial records in connection with Mr. Rich’s murder, which police have publicly said was “random.”

Mr. Burkman will hold a news conference outside Metro P.D. (MPD) headquarters, 300 Indiana Ave N.W., Washington at 2pm Wednesday.

Mr. Burkman wants to force the police department to release video footage of the murder, along with the medical examiner’s report and ballistic reports related to the weapon used to shoot Mr. Rich.

“The release of this crucial material will help bring peace to the victim’s family, and it will help to either confirm or refute the various theories that swirl about this important murder case,” the lawsuit says.
