Local organic and natural foods market expands business with new online shopping experience

St. Petersburg, FL (May , 2017) – Rollin’ Oats Market & Café, a locally owned and operated whole and organic foods market,  announced today the launch of their online ordering system.  This system will allow customers to go online, select from over ten thousand items (not including alcohol or hot items), place an order for pickup and designate a window of time for in-store pick up and payment of their order.  Beginning Monday, May 15th, customers can log onto, create an account, and shop through the store’s thousands of items.

“Customer service is always at the forefront of everything we do, “said Chief Operating Officer, Mike Asher. “We have been working behind the scenes for months on our new online click and collect system that will expand that service online.” Unlike online shopping services provided by other local markets, Rollin Oats simplifies the experience by tying directly into the store’s point of sale instead of using a third party service. “Our system is an extension of store registers which means a faster, seamless connection between online and in store shopping.”  Pricing will also remain the same for online orders, with just a nominal convenience charge of $4. Whereas third party groups often send in outside people to shop for a customer, Rollin’ Oats plans to maintain its service standards by utilizing its own store staff to shop and fill orders for their online customers.  Something Asher believes will help the service stand out; “The consistency places us well above our competitors.”

Other features of the service include the ability to create shopping lists which can easily be transferred to their shopping cart, along with the ability to view previous receipts, recent and most purchased items both in store and online.

At launch, the online ordering system will only be available to St. Petersburg during regular store business hours and only as in store pickup. Asher hopes to expand the service quickly. “Ultimately, I hope this takes off and we can expand to our Tampa location as well as curbside pickup, UPS delivery, and eventually home delivery.  It is our goal to deliver the same great Rollin’ Oats service directly to our customers’ doorstep!”
