Dr. Mahmood Tabatabai has been in practice for more than three decades and is currently serving patients within North Philadelphia Health System Hospitals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Mahmood Tabatabai obtained his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Shiraz, Iran in 1982. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed an internship at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by a residency and fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree.
Dr. Tabatabai is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and maintains a professional membership with the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, and the Association of University Anesthesiologists. Currently serving as Chair of the North Philadelphia Health System Hospitals, and with over 70 medical papers and chapters published, he attributes his success to his hard work and dedication. In his free time, Dr. Tabatabai enjoys playing tennis, swimming, reading and hiking.
