Dr. Mahayni’s career in medicine began in 1987 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the Damascus University School of Medicine in Syria. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed an internship and residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, prior to his fellowship training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Dr. Mahayni is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as Cardiac CT Angiogram. He has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and is renowned as an expert in carotid and peripheral interventions. Dr. Mahayni attributes his success his dedication to knowledge and continual learning, and when he is not working, he enjoys tennis and swimming.
