Junior Achievement of New York (JA New York) announced today that two new members were elected to its Board of Directors. JA New York officially welcomed Jennifer Barbetta, Managing Director, Goldman Sachs and Kishore Siva, Senior Vice President & Customer Experience Strategy Lead at Wells Fargo & Co Inc. Since 1929, JA New York has worked to provide K-12 students from New York City, Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley with the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.
Jennifer is a Managing Director in the Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) Group in Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) in the Investment Management Division (IMD). She helps lead the GPS business, which provides multi-asset class products and solutions to institutional and individual investors, focusing on customized asset allocation, tactical implementation, risk management and portfolio construction. With a team of more than 120 professionals, the GPS Group serves clients globally, from offices in New York, Bengaluru, London, Tokyo and Salt Lake City. Jennifer serves as a member of the IMD Client and Business Standards Committee and GSAM Client Experience Group.
Prior to assuming her current role, she was global chief operating officer for GSAM’s portfolio management teams and the global head of GSAM Strategic Client Services. Previously, Jennifer spent 15 years in the Alternative Investments & Manager Selection Group. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 and was named managing director in 2006 and partner in 2014.
Jennifer serves on the Board of Trustees of the Montclair Kimberley Academy and on the Board of Directors of the Point Foundation. Jennifer earned a BS in Finance from Villanova University, where she was a Beta Gamma Sigma scholar.
Kishore Siva is Senior Vice President & Customer Experience Strategy Lead at Wells Fargo & Co Inc. In this role, his team aims to drive greater consistency across the organization.
Kishore joined Wells Fargo in 2014, after spending 18 years with HSBC in both New York and London, including leadership roles in Retail and Commercial Banking. During that time, Kishore established enterprise wide Customer Experience and Complaint programs at a national and global level.
Previously, Kishore held branch leadership roles at HSBC in Branch Banking, Corporate Banking and Business Banking.
Kishore has been active in the community throughout his career, with numerous volunteer activities (including several as a JA volunteer), as well as serving on the Advisory Board of Virtual Enterprise for six years.
Born in Sri Lanka, Kishore grew up in Connecticut, and earned his undergraduate and MBA degrees from George Washington University in Washington DC. Kishore lives in New York with his wife and two sons.
