Dr. Joseph Edward Ronaghan is a highly trained and qualified surgeon with extensive expertise in all facets of his work, especially the treatment and management of benign and malignant diseases of the breast, minimally invasive surgical techniques, oncoplastic surgical incisions, and sentinel lymph node biopsies. Dr. Ronaghan holds over 35 years of experience in his field and is currently serving patients within the Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Ronaghan attended Tulane University School of Medicine, where he graduated with his Medical Degree. He subsequently completed a residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and has become the Forth Worth Regional Surgeon providing implantation of the Medtronic Enterra Gastric Pacemaker for the treatment of gastroparesis. He is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ronaghan serves as Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. For his hard work and dedication, he was named America’s Top Surgeon from 2007 to 2010. Dr. Ronaghan also maintains professional memberships with the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Disease, and the American Society of General Surgeons. Attributing his successful career to his patient care, Dr. Ronaghan treats all of his patients like family members and truly loves the field of medicine, a passion instilled in him by his parents, who were also in the medical field. In his spare time, Dr. Ronaghan enjoys golfing, reading, and computers.
