The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Tabatha Bowers, NP, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Tabatha Bowers is a Nurse Practitioner with more than 24 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially gerontology. Tabatha is currently on staff at The Scarborough and Rouge Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She also chairs the Senior Friendly Care and Falls Prevention and Least Restraints committees.
Tabatha received her Nursing Diploma from Durham College in 1992, followed by her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1999 from Ryerson University. An advocate for continuing education, she obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing in 2004 from the University of Toronto, before completing her Post-Master’s Certificate in 2010 as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner within the same educational venue. Tabatha holds additional certifications in Medical Surgical Nursing and Gerontological Nursing through the Canadian Nurses Association.
Tabatha maintains professional memberships with the Canadian Nurses Association, the Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association, the Nurse Practitioner Association of Ontario, and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. She also holds a certificate as Teacher of Adult Learners from Centennial College (2009), and a Healthcare Leadership Certificate from Michener (2013). Tabatha attributes her success to knowing that there is always something left to learn. In her free time, she enjoys craft work and sports.
