Venerated Nurse Mary Kathleen Flinn, RN, will be Honorably Mentioned in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare

With an upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Mary Kathleen Flinn, RN, joins the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. She is a Registered Nurse with 40 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, including patient care management, hospice nursing, admitting patients to hospice service, mental health nursing, post-anesthesia care, and medical-surgical nursing. A former Patient Care Manager, Kathy is currently retired and living in Texas. Her last core role was with  Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas. Additionally, Kathy served in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps.

Kathy is a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest, NJ. She received her Nursing Diploma in 1972 from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in Teaneck, NJ and became a Registered Nurse. After serving time in the Air Force she used her GI Bill to obtain her Bachelor Degree in Health Leisure Sports from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1986. Kathy has held additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pastoral Bereavement Counseling. She attributes her success to her strong faith, and a passion for providing comfort to those in distress. Kathy is a former member of the Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization, and is currently working on a book about the benefits of hospice care. She hopes this will help patients and their family members faced with difficult decisions when encountering a life-limiting illness. In her free time, Kathy enjoys cooking, walking, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and traveling all over the world.
