Haen, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Pieter S.W.A. Haen is a highly trained and qualified orthopedic surgeon with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work, especially shoulder surgery, and traumatology. Dr. Haen has been in practice for more than more than three years and is currently serving patients at Groene Hart Ziekenhuis in Gouda, which is situated in the green hart of Holland.
Dr. Haen attended The Faculty of Medicine of Utrecht University in Utrecht, Netherlands, graduating with his Medical Degree in 2005. He subsequently completed internships at the Isala Klinieken, a hospital with branches in Zwolle, Kampen and Heerde, Netherlands, and the Martini Ziekenhuis, a training hospital in Groningen. He then went on to complete his fellowship in trauma surgery at the University Medical Center in Groningen, as well as his fellowship in shoulder surgery and sports medicine with George Murrell at St. George Hospital and the Orthopaedic Research Institute in Sydney, Australia.
Dr. Haen was a Presenter at the 2015 ISAKOS Biennial Congress in Lyon, France, as well as the 2015 AAOS in Las Vegas, Nevada. He keeps up to with the latest advances in his field by maintaining professional memberships in the Netherlands Orthopaedic Association, the Dutch Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the Dutch Arthroscopic Association, and the Dutch Shoulder and Elbow Society. When he is not assisting his patients, Dr. Haen dedicates his time to sailing, surfing, playing golf, and hockey.
