He then obtained his Medical Degree from the UT Health Science Center in 1989, prior to his internship and residency training at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and an additional residency at John Hopkins Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He maintains professional memberships with the American Society of Laparoscopists and Endoscopists, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Southern Medical Association, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Garza provides compassionate care to his patients, and remains dedicated to staying current with the latest advances in his field. Holding certification in daVinci Robotic Surgery, he has performed over 1000 robotic cases and has instructed on over 400 cases since 2006. He is one of 25 Epicenter Surgeons from all over the United States teaching courses for surgeons at the Advanced and Masters level. Dr. Garza attributes his success to his diligence to excellence, his proficiency, and extensive experience.
