Since graduating, she has completed a number of advanced training courses. She holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, IV Therapy, and Fetal Electronic Monitoring.

When she is not assisting patients, Melanie enjoys kayaking and bike riding.
