She then went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center, before undertaking her fellowship training in Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology at Tulane University School of Medicine. She holds an additional Master of Science Degree in Health Care Management from the University of New Orleans, and attended the University of Southern California, becoming an Occupational Therapist.
Dr. Borreson is renowned not only as an allergy, immunology, and asthma expert, but also as an autism specialist. She is double board certified in Pediatric Allergy, and in Asthma and Allergy by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. To keep up to date with the latest advances in her field, Dr. Borreson maintains professional memberships with the American Medical Association, the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and the American Occupational Therapy Association. For her wealth of experience and knowledge, she has been published extensively, and attributes her success to her ability to assist patients to take control of their situations. In her free time, Dr. Borreson enjoys New Orleans’ food and music, and working with children.
