Barrere is a highly trained and qualified obstetrician and gynecologist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work, especially bioidentical hormonal replacement therapy. Dr. Barrere has been in practice for more than 20 years and is currently serving patients within his own private practice, Cincinnati Center for Hormonal Pellet Therapy, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also affiliated with The Christ Hospital and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. David M. Barrere attended Ohio State University, where he graduated with his Medical Degree in 1994. Following his graduation, he subsequently completed his four year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bethesda Hospitals Inc. He served as Chief resident from 1997 to 1998, and was awarded the Richard G. Bryant Award as Resident of the Year in 1998. Dr. Barrere is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Barrere serves as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
Dr. Barrere maintains professional memberships with the American Mensa Society, the Ohio State University Alumni Association and President’s Club, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, the Ohio State Medical Association, and The Christ Hospital Clinical Collaborative Committee for Obstetrics. For his wealth of experience and knowledge, Dr. Barrere is the recipient of the Excellence in Surgical Teaching Award by the University of Cincinnati Ob/Gyn Department in 2007 and 2011. He attributes his success to listening closely to his patients, as well as staying current in his field, and when he is not working, Dr. Barrere enjoys reading and watching college football.
